The National Learning Opportunities Database
(NLOD) holds your course information and allows you to reach a wide
range of learners.
Course information held in the NLOD is used for all course
searches across Skills Development Scotland's (SDS's)
When learners or employers call SDS helplines or speak to
advisors in our centres, information on the NLOD is used to advise
NLOD course listings also feed through to our partners'
sites such as the Sector Skills Councils.
There are a number of benefits to learning providers:
If you offer a large number of courses use the bulk import
facility to upload courses to NLOD.
If you are an NTP provider, you are contractually obliged to
register on the NLOD and list all NTP provision (including Modern
Apprenticeships and Employability Fund courses).
The 16-19 Learning Choices course search to help young people
move on to positive destinations after school uses NLOD course
information. It can be accessed via the Course
Choices tool on My World of Work.
