Skills Development Scotland (SDS) is
responsible for making sure all training funded through the
National Training Programmes (NTPs) and Individual Learning
Accounts (ILAs) is of high quality and benefits the
All SDS funded learning providers are required to demonstrate the
extent to which they meet SDS quality standards through completion
and submission of a self assessment and enter the steps they are
taking to address areas for improvement onto an action plan.
SDS has developed a web-based version of the Self Assessment and
Action Plan which providers can populate using existing
paperwork. Details of your current Self Assessment can be
copied over to the online version and Areas for Improvement will
automatically be carried forward to the Action Plan. Once
completed, providers have the option to 'send to self' for review
and discussion prior to submitting the final version to SDS.
The forms can be updated and saved at any point in time.
Learning providers can continue to use the existing format and
email their Self Assessment in as before.
