Making young people our business

As the skills agency for Scotland we play an important role in creating employment opportunities and in helping young people develop their employability skills, including their lifelong career management skills.

We're passionate about supporting our young people to realise their ambitions, and we know first hand how much energy, enthusiasm and ambition a young person can bring to a job. We already employ a talented group of interns and Modern Apprentices who bring vibrancy and fresh ideas to our organisation, but we know there is more we can do.

That's why in 2013/14 we're committed to having a number of opportunities right across SDS in a range of disciplines.

The road to success…

We know that everyone has different skills and experience. That's why we're developing a selection of programmes to ensure we attract a range of enthusiastic and hard working young people to SDS.

Our programmes aim to ensure you develop a range of employability skills and experiences which will allow you to progress and grow your career development opportunities; whether that be progressing to roles elsewhere in our organisation or to careers in the wider world of work.
