New Workshop Dates Announced
The popular PROMT workshops are about to return. The workshops, in which users of our PROMT software are given advice on how best to use the tool, are free and will take place all over the country in January, February and March 2009.
PROMT is a user-friendly piece of software which was created by learndirect scotland in order to give learning providers greater control over how their courses look on our websites. Whether you are new to the software or are already comfortable using it to submit your courses, you will find it useful to attend one of our workshops.
Two Information Specialists within the Information Services team will give you a demonstration of how to submit course and opportunity details and will advise you on time-saving devices, such as cloning an existing course and creating bulk updates. You will also learn how to change your password and how to run reports which can give you information on what students are searching for when they call our helpline and search our website.
If you have any questions about the software, you can bring them along to the workshop where the Information Specialists will be on hand to provide the necessary assistance. We will give you a presentation on PROMT and there will be a practical element, in which you can practice using the software in an environment where you can ask any questions which may arise.
The workshops will be spread all over the country so that as many providers as possible have a chance to attend. From Dumfries in the south to Inverness in the north, and from Oban in the west to Edinburgh in the east, we trust you will find the workshops invaluable. If you are unable to attend any of the workshops, you can participate in an online forum, in which you can ask an Information Specialist questions about PROMT through this website.
