Launch of online course search for young people in Scotland
Skills Development Scotland (SDS), working in partnership with the Scottish Government, recently launched the 16 19 Choices e-prospectus. 16 19 Choices is an accessible, searchable, online directory of learning opportunities relevant to young people.
This has been developed to coincide with the universal roll-out of 16+ Learning Choices, to provide all 16-19-year-old learners, and their parents - across Scotland with a consistent way of accessing accurate and up-to-date information on the range of learning opportunities available to them in one place.
16 19 Choices can now be found on the Skills Development Scotland website, and is the first part of a range of new digital services being developed to help customers gain access to a wide range of career, learning and skills information and resources.
Relevant course information that is on 16 19 Choices includes:
- Further Education
- Community Education
- Relevant opportunities with private training providers
- National Training Programmes
To add your courses to the National Learning Opportunities Database (NLOD), so that they show on the 16 19 Choices e-prospectus, please fill out our online NLOD registration. If you are already registered and need support using the PROMT software to add courses, please see our PROMT support section or contact the Information Services team on 0141 285 6100 or info.services@sds.co.uk.
Courses on the NLOD will only show on 16 19 Choices search if the 16+ Learning Choices 'data consumer' has been added. This is easy to do, but if you need any help finding this field in PROMT please just call us on 0141 285 6100.
