Quest (Scotland)

Quest LogoDundee based training provider Quest (Scotland) run a wide range of courses including SVQs, Chartered Management Institute qualifications and non certificated courses such as Interview Skills. The company has been in operation since 2001, and have worked in partnership with Skills Development Scotland (or its legacy organisations learndirect scotland and Scottish Enterprise) since 2003.

The company has been ILA Scotland approved for some time, and in January started to offer ILA500 for some of their courses. Director Suzy Landsburgh commented;

"The ILA Auditor helped by informing us what courses would meet the criteria and who to speak to get it set up."

Suzy added that they get a lot of hits from having their courses showing on Skills Development Scotland websites. She finds the PROMT software for adding their courses to the websites easy to use.

"I went to a PROMT workshop which was useful. At the time I hadn't used it for a number of years so it was good for a refresher"

In addition to taking part in the ILA Scotland scheme, Quest (Scotland) have been awarded contracts to offer funded National Training Programme places. This has helped the company, particularly in its work with employers;

"It has enabled us to keep moving forward, especially now with the economy being the way it is. Its good that we can engage with employers and get some funding through SVQs and ILA

"Recently we also had a learner complete a Train the Trainer course using ILA which was supported by the employer as they allowed them to have time off for it."
